Effective networking can be crucial to growing your businesses.  Whether you are looking to make business contacts and increase sales – or simply communicate with your peer group and learn from their experience – as you can tell from our guruspots, most established entrepreneurs will truly value the power of networking.

Here are some recommended networking groups – but we want you to suggest others!

  1. Hi – I run a business/social networking group called No Excuses, which meets monthly.

Members are business owners, directors, senior managers and other professionals.

It has 95 members and 55 people from a wide range of business sectors attended the August event last week.

I hope this might be of interest for your list of networking organisations and if you would like any further information, please do just let me know.

  2. Hi

I helped set up a business networking group in Perth at the start of the year – Let’s Network Perth.

Our meetings are monthly, very informal and are held from 9-11am on the last Thursday of each month. The next meeting is on Thursday 26 August at Perth Business Centre, 28 Glasgow Road, Perth PH2 0NX.

There is no joining fee and it costs just £2.00 per person per meeting to attend. You just pay your money, grab a refreshment and start talking!

Over 200 businesses are registered on our website

    http://www.letsnetwork-perth.co.uk

and we average over 40 per meeting.

Hope this is of interest to Guruspot. I follow you on Twitter. Keep up the good work.

  3. Hi, my name is Colin Millar and I’m the Chairman of the newly established Forth Valley Branch of the Chartered Management Institute.

We have a fantastic evening lined up for Wednesday 27th October 2010 at Stirling Castle.

We’ll be hearing from Keith Brown MSP, Minister for Skills & Lifelong Learning; Annabel Goldie MSP, Leader of the Scottish Conservatives; and Geoff Mawdsley, Director of think-tank Reform Scotland.

There’s also a free private guided tour of Stirling Castle and free entry into our prize draw where you could win vouchers worth anywhere between £50 and £200 for redemtion with Red Letter Days – drive a Ferrari; go off in a hot balloon and the likes.

The event is open to everyone but is aimed at business minds; consultants; entrepreneurs; leaders and managers.

Interested, please drop me an e-mail or visit the CMI website and search for “Forth Valley CMI Launch”.
